Ice Cube’s The Big3 sells first Franchise for $10 million.

The Big3

The professional 3-on-3 Basketball league that was started back in 2020, has officially sold its first franchise.

The original scheduling system The Big3 followed was one that was more like a tour. The league would go to different cities and hold multiple games there.

It was a great way to promote the league and gain exposure from around the country.

The league featured some of the great players from the NBA’s past. One of the biggest names to play in the league was Allan Iverson.

Los Angeles will be the first city to get a franchise. A group of investors led by DCB Sports are intended to help to league grow.

It is expected that the league will announce three more ownership groups before the 2024 season begins. Cities like Oakland and Toronto, Canada are in the mix. A wild card location is in the U.K.

From the inception of the league, the goal was always to get to a point to where teams can be attached to cities. Up until now, the league has been running the teams.

Ultimately, this is a huge move for The Big3 and for Ice Cube.
