Fight Night: Andy Ruiz Wants the Trilogy with Anthony Joshua

Andy Ruiz calls out Anthony Joshua for the Trilogy

In a very power packed year for boxing, Andy Ruiz wants to get in on the fun. News broke that Anthony Joshua’s fight against Dillian Whyte has been canceled.

Whyte drug test came back positive. This opens the door for another challenger for Joshua to fight. Here comes Ruiz.

Ruiz and Joshua fought twice in 2019. In their first fight, Ruiz stunned Joshua and gave the champ his first loss of his career. Ruiz became the heavyweight champion of the world.

However, it wouldn’t take long before Joshua would act on the rematch clause and win his belts back. Although he won, there were many who believed Ruiz did not prepare properly for the rematch. Some, even Ruiz, would admit that he let winning the belts go to his head.

Since 2019, Ruiz has asked for another chance at Joshua. Although Joshua has since lost all his belts, Joshua would be a great win for Ruiz. Ultimately, a win for Ruiz would make him a contender for the belts again.

Andy Ruiz or Deontay Wilder

Another road block to this fight could be Wilder. Wilder could set up a fight with Ruiz as well. Although Wilder has said he wants Joshua, Joshua has yet to acknowledge if he would fight Wilder.

The two former heavyweight champs would be a big payday for both. Not to mention, Wilder and Joshua are consider in the top 4 of heavyweights in the world.

Even so, Wilder wants Joshua in January. Ruiz would be a nice fight, but if you’re looking for the cash cow fight, the Wilder is your pick.
